This cafe is situated just on the outskirt of Arab/Bugis area and sure stood out from the otherwise prosaic row of provision shops. Starting its roots from the Omni-Theatre at Singapore Science Centre, Tolido’s expanded with its second outlet located just outside the city area at Crawford Lane.
They get their beans from Yahava Koffeeworks , however, are unable to produce and match the those found at Koffeeworks. Nonetheless, still decent coffee. I am pretty impressed by the latte art. Heard that the barista recently won third place in the Singapore Latte Art Competition orgranised by Bettr Barista. Probably explains the intricate and complex design.
As the price was generally steep, I didn’t order any sides. Both cups of latte cost us $11!!! Other than that, the cafe was cozy and I like the ‘woody’ and rustic look. They also have a sofa corner which I find it a fantastic spot to relax and laze around. On the side note, there is also All Day Breakfast meal.
Despite all that, Tolido still doesn’t have that X factor which draws me to come back. Even though the cafe was pretty empty, but the staff didn’t have the initiative (4 of them) to refill our water for us. Service could have been better too, smile a little for me the next time ok?
