175) The Little Prince Creamy (小王子咖啡座): Fiction Themed Cafe In Toa Payoh
Does the name ring a bell? Yup, this cafe is themed after the classic Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery which we was part of our school curriculum. This story themed and cozy creamery is nestled under block 47 of Toa Payoh Lorong 6.
It was one of my last few weekly exercise sessions with the old folks at a nearby Community Centre and I thought I should further explore this area before time runs out!
To my surprise, within the district of Toa Payoh, there are actually quite a few cafes. Whether is it coincidental or residents here just love ice cream and waffles, among these cafes more than half are creamery specialties!
The white washed interior and full height glass allows day light to beam through, thus giving the cafe a spacious and clean feel.
Hand-crafted Gelato comes in Classic ($3 & $5.8) and Premium flavour ($3.9 & $7.6) for single and double scoops respectively.
Topping up with a butter waffle, price ranges from $6.5-$11.10 which is super affordable!
Ordered latte ($4) to go hand in hand with my wafflelicous indulgence. Coffee is pulled with beans from Liberty which had a robust and chocolatey flavour.
Savoury waffles and sandwiches are available as options if you are looking for a change. In a nutshell, Little Prince Creamery is definitely worth the visit!
