60) The Coffee Shot

Wanted somewhere accessible, nearby and “uncharted” for my coffee, thus I gave a shot at The Coffee Shot.

Jalan Besar is another area (similar to Tiong Bahru and Everton Park) where you have a congregation of cafes within one location. Over here, there is Chye Seng Huat Hardware, The Bravery, Tiramisu Hero, Windowsill Pies, Anythingz Cafe and The Coffee Shot.
With a traditional facade, but I was brought into a “classy” dimension the moment I stepped in. Apart from that, it is quite spacious and also provides two types of seats to suit different mood.

Without hesitation, I went for a Cafe Latte but was subtly taken aback when the cashier displayed $5.5 as I wasn’t expecting this price at this location. Moving on…the coffee actually looked good and tasted pretty alright. Aroma was there, smooth but weak “body” and has that tinge of bitterness after taste.

For all the sweet tooth out there, you may enjoy a slice of cake to compliment your cuppa. Some how or rather, the pairing between the cake and coffee further accentuate the taste of the coffee, or was it the other way round? Nonetheless, it was a unique experience. In addition, the cake was rich in flavour and texture was dense enough to stand alone. Worth giving it try.

With the new 4G but reduced data bundle, The Coffee Shot is one of the cafe that you may want to jot down in your list as they do provide WiFi and power plugs for work and study.

Till now, nowhere beats coffee’s from Brawn and Brains , but I sure did enjoy my time spent at The Coffee Shot.
