ThaiPan Restaurant was first established in 2003 with its first outlet located inside Mandarin Gardens condominium. Now, they have a second outlet located within Civil Service Club in Changi Village.
This place is filled with much memories, especially for students and alumni of Victoria Junior College. I was first introduced to this place during my first year in VJC back in 2006 during my school orientation. The very first dish that was ordered and claimed as a ‘must try’ was the Butter Squid. Personally, I was a little hesitant as I’m no fan of sotong (squid), but the idea of butter reduced that “cringe” and the rest was history.
Here I am, back at ThaiPan with my friends from college on a weekend. We had Butter Squid (Large), Cereal Chicken (Medium), French Beans (Medium) and Fried Tofu (Medium). Everything tasted as usual, usually good! It was a hearty meal and we had a fun time reminiscing the past while catching up with one another at the same time.
Definitely worth the visit. You should come by here with your family if you have yet to visit!
