Tai Seng Noodle House
@ Amoy Food Centre
Long queue…but thankfully I beat the crowd!
One of the factors which affects my decision for food (besides accolades and short queues) is seeing experienced couples preparing food behind an old school sign stall. Well, the stall will speak for itself with the queue you see as a testimony.
In my opinion, Wanton Noodles of Tai Seng is more of the typical traditional type where they serve dry char siew and uses thinner version of mee kia. What’s good about it then? Firstly, it’s cost at $3 that comes with generous portion of noodles, char siew and 5-6 wanton! Amazing right? Secondly, the noodle is springy thus making eating a pleasure.
If you have been following my posts about char siew (Fatty Cheong and Koung’s Wanton), you will have noticed that I prefer those that has layers of fats and caramelized layer, which is not the traditional type. Nevertheless, the char siew tasty fine and the overall value for the noodle was worth it!
