Stamping Ground: Contemporary Coffee House At Upper East Coast Road
“Stamping Ground” = a place where someone regularly spends time. Pretty apt for a chic-contemporary coffee-house here in Siglap. Located at Club Street before, Stamping Ground now shares the space with Dawn Q (florist) and East Mezzanine (event purpose) with the capacity to hold more than 20.
Dressed in a botanic theme, Stamping Ground does give a fresh vibe as compared to many other modern-industrial themed cafes.
We ordered a Magic ($5). It’s basically 2 shots of ristretto with the right proportion of milk. The beans are from Papa Palheta (Throwback blend) which is rich in flavour and heavy bodied.
Coffee is definitely their specialty thus the many coffee gadgets! Perhaps I should try out their cold brew coffee concentrate which can be mixed with water, milk, almond milk or even coconut water! Above is the Tortilla Chips with Salted Egg Yolk dip!
Food was certainly awesome!
Ordered the Bacon Jam which tasted like Bak Kwa and served on the soft and lightly toasted brioche. So for all you Bak Kwa fans, you MUST try this! To my surprise, egg yolk started oozing out as I cut through the middle!
Another dish was the Crab Croissant. This generous portion of mayo mix had cucumber cubes for that extra crunch and decent amount of shredded fresh crab meat, coupled with crisp and buttery croissant was indeed heavenly!
As Christmas is approaching, you may like to browse through the floral decor and gifts made by Dawn Q.
Stamping Ground certainly has a nice and relaxing vibe! Have a whismsical and blessed Christmas in advance!
