Shin-Sapporo Ramen (Seasonal Menu)
Located at the brand new Orchard Gateway, Shin Sapporo has opened its 4th outlet in conjunction with their new Summer Menu (in accordance with Japan’s season)! Available at all outlets and serving from 1st August through 31st October, the Summer Menu comprises of Tenchirashi Ramen ($15.80), Miso Tofu Steak ($6.80) and Ebi Tofu ($6.80).
Apart from that, items on the regular menu are available as usual. They have Ramen (4 Types), Rice, Sides and Desserts to satisfy your cravings. On top of the Summer Menu, we ordered a Ramen Set from the set lunch menu. With Shin-Sapporo being the originator of Miso Ramen back in 1954, it was without hesitation that we ordered set 3.
Here is the Kara-Miso Ramen, which is the spicy or red version, depending on which ramen place you visit. Very tasty and rich pork broth together with perfectly bbq-ed pork and springy ramen!
Presenting the items offered in the Summer Menu:
A light taste chilled ramen served with mixture of tempuras, prawn, shitake and shimeji mushrooms, lady fingers, and top off with poached egg.
Miso Tofu Steak
A rich in protein option featuring tempura tofu and potato deep fried till golden brown, topped with home-made miso paste served in hot-plate.
Cold appetizer that combines prawn and tofu to enjoy a lighter taste, served with our home-made sesame sauce.
On top of that, we ordered Pumpkin Croquette ($4.80), Kushiyaki ($2-$2.80) and their chef recommendation, Choc Lava Cake ($8.80).
Taking pride in their Ramen, indeed every mouthful was packed with quality and rich in flavour! Desserts and sides were brilliant too!
