Scott’s House: Cottage Styled Bar & Restaurant At Fraser’s Hill (Malaysia)
A short getaway with my family to Fraser’s Hill, Malaysia which is about 100km away north from Kuala Lumpur, or 400km from Singapore. I’ve been here multiple times during my childhood days, especially during primary school period, therefore traveling up here after (close to) a decade allowed me to reminiscence many fond memories!
If you are a naturalist at heart or want an escape away from the concrete jungle, this is a holiday option. You may find out more information online if this sounds like an idea for you!
After approximately 5-6 hours drive up from Singapore.
Shortly after checking in, we came to the town centre for lunch here at Scott’s House, which has a strong English influence in terms of its design and structure.
Scott’s house offers both Western & Oriental dishes and a mini bar as well.
We ordered Ribeye Steak, Lamb Chops, Stuffed Irish Chicken (RM23), Oriental Fried Rice (RM12) and Hor Fun (RM13) for four of us.
Stuffed Irish Chicken was actually fried chicken thigh wrapped around cucumbers and carrots, very similar to Cordon Bleu Chicken.
Decent food, holiday mood and a cooling weather makes the world a better place. If only Singapore has such location. As the saying goes “the grass is always greener on the other side”. On top of that, who would have guessed that there will be WiFi on a mountain top!
