Rock & Ash
First visit at Rock and Ash. Decided to come here after coming across an instagram post of one of my favourite foods, burgers and fries! So decided to give it a shot since I was nearby after attending my church service.
After looking through the menu, I came across their “Messy Spicy Juicy Sloppy Joe” at the burger section. From its name and illustrated picture, I immediately felt a “connection” and prompting to order it! What’s more amazing is that soup and drinks was free flow without any additional cost! So this meal cost me $8.90 nett. Though I am not a fan of soup and soft drinks, but I think it’s really nice and generous for Rock and Ash to extend such services.
While waiting for my food, I decided to understand why “Rock and Ash” and what it’s all about. So this was what I found:
“Expect an explosion of luscious flavours and titillating tastes akin to a volcanic eruption of epic proportions”. I see…lets find out then.
So here came my burger. But I rejected it the first round as it didn’t look anything like what was perceived in my mind. After verification, it was indeed my order and the chef pointed to me the fine print that’s on the menu: “All pictures shown in the menu are for illustration purpose”….Oh dear… what a legit excuse. Nonetheless, I carried on with my food, finished it and left. Although I lost the “connection”, but at least they did live up to their standard of freshly fried thick fries and the burger (bread) was tasty and crispy on the surface too.
So this was my experience…good for non fussy eater who aren’t rushing for time.
