97) Quarter To Three
“It’s tea time!” That’s probably what it means by having the name as Quarter To Three. Located at Tanjong Katong, this cafe specializes in cakes and desserts, so it’s definitely a good spot for desserts during your break time.
The high wooden chairs and table gives the cafe a laid back feel which suits the whole idea of being a cafe. However, the fact that it’s a wooden chair with no contour affects the comfort after a while.
I was here for desserts after dinner tonight. Thinking that they are the expert, so I ask for their advise on which cake pairs up nicely with their coffee, but she passed me the menu. I guess that question was foreign to her. Since I wasn’t given a proper answer, I went ahead with their Lemon Zest Meringue Tart (New on the menu) and latte. Let me be straight forward, the coffee was bad. Thankfully, the tart was decent enough. The tart base was nice as it was like biscuit when eaten, but the lemon filling was a little too zesty for my liking and could have been a little more generous on the chocolate base. First time trying meringue, so I guess it was fluffy enough?
Overall, not very pleased with my selection for tonight. Perhaps, I should try their cakes the next time.
