Penang Seafood Resturant
This is a fine restaurant located just next to Aljunied mrt. In the past 12 years, I’ve seen at least three turnovers of food eateries at this particular unit. However, since the establishment of Penang Seafood in 2008, they have not only claimed their spot, but have also expanded their territory by having another space just two units down and a recent coffee shop at the corner of the same stretch of shop house. That’s how successful this eatery is!
Penang Seafood Restaurant will always be filled with people especially during dinner hours of weekends and public holidays. So if you are intending to visit them, do make sure you come early or be prepared to queue.
I’ve come here multiple times and can’t deny that they really do serve tasty food. Besides serving authentic Penang fare, there are also Tze Char items on their menu.
Some of the common dishes that I’ve ordered on my multiple visits are Cereal Chicken, Cereal prawns, Assam Curry Fish Head, Marmite Pork, Sweet and Sour Pork, Kang Kong Belacan, Stir fried Brocolli, Mongolian Pork Ribs, Sambal fried rice and many more.
Super fragrant, crispy and thickly coated with Salted Egg!
Despite of the food being tasty and portion is slightly more generous than other Tze Char store, but inflation is a “problem” (at least to me). A plate of vegetable which cost $6 in the past is $10 now and from $8 to $12 for meat.
Nonetheless, it’s worth a visit once in a while.
