It’s Mid week Wednesday and with 2 hours before another appointment, I decided to explore Everton Park. Don’t be deceived by this quiet neighborhood, but there are actually 4-5 Cafes located here!
First stop, Nylon Coffee Roaster!
“Walled” with full height glass which allow full visual porosity, that simply drew my attention and wanted to explore further. As I went in, I only noticed 3 chairs and a common high table for sharing. Nonetheless, I went on ordering a 5 oz. latte (4,5 or 7 oz) as I wanted something less milky.
Right after I placed my order, I managed to get a single seat to lepak at one corner, THANK GOD!
What’s interesting about the shop is that they actually have a roaster which is partitioned behind a glass door and was actually in “operation”. On top of that, the minimalist concept and simplicity gave the shop a “clean” and spacious feel.
Let’s talk about the coffee now…well, I must say that this is one of the “smoothest” and low acidic coffee I’ve tried so far, however, the “body” wasn’t strong enough for my palate. Nevertheless, the nutty flavour was pleasant.
On the side note, Nylon simply sells coffee, period.
Nonetheless, I did enjoy my 1 hour spent there while accompanied with my books and coffee.
