Night Market (Malaysia): Taman Connaught Pasar Malam (Cheras, Kuala Lumpur)
Finally a R & R session on the last night of my 4 days trip with North Vista Athletic Team in Kuala Lumpur. Through my colleague’s Malaysian friend, we managed to visit this massive and probably the longest night market at Cheras. According to sources, it is approximately 2km long and boasts about 700 plus stalls!
The night market is primarily known for the variety of food available. By saying “variety”, I meant a WHOLE lot of variety! It was literally a few hawker centres congregating together.
Taman Connaught Pasar Malam offers from “stinky” tofu, fried kway tiao, Assam Laksa to the All Time favourite Chendol. There is something for every food connoisseur out there to enjoy.
These were my loot during my visit. Fried Chempadek (RM15 for 10) and Tornado Potato (RM6).
Nothing special for the Fried Chempadek which was simply fried jack fruit. However, the seasoning for the Tornado Potato was just too addictive.
Wanted to have a second stick, but I was already few hundred metres away by the time I completed it.
Taman Connaught Pasar Malam is well frequented by many of the residents here who come from all parts of Cheras as well as students in UCSI University who stay around here.
Be amazed and thrilled when u visit, and hopefully weather stays cool and dry like how it was for me. Thank God.
