Had a 120m Time Trial at Choa Chu Kang Stadium this evening and that made me hop all the way from the East to the West for a cafe. It’s none other than the popular Necessary Provision, which is located within private estates.
From a Eastie’s point of view, this place is rather inaccessible! However, the crowd still streamed in, evening during 215-3pm (the time that I was there). Perhaps, one reason that draws the crowd is the cozy feel which the cafe exudes. I guess it has to do with the dark coloured interior with spotlights shining specifically on each table.
From the sources which I gathered, their coffee is from Smitten Cafe. That didn’t mean much to me till I tried their latte. It comes in choices of 4, 5 and 8 oz. Thinking that 8oz will be nicely even out by the milk since it was served with a double shot of espresso.Verdict, it’s”gao” = has body, temperature was just nice, but was kind of acidic too? Honestly, I’m not too sure what did it lack or the other way round. I can’t imagine what 4oz will taste like!
By the way, there was also a roaster in the cafe too. Apart from the inaccessibility, this is definitely a fine cafe to revisit when I’m in the west!
They have power socket for studying and work purposes too!
