Decorated like an old American diner and with origins from Korea, Kraze Burger is located in the grande dame of shopping mall, the Marina Bay Sands (MBS).
Before heading down to MBS, the main deterrence was the possible price tag. If burgers can cost more than $20 else where in Singapore, then you would probably share similar sentiments as me. However, being a foodie and a fan of burgers, I just had to give Kraze Burger a shot. Moreover, it was highly recommended by my friend. But here’s the catch. Her recommendation was based on the impression she had a couple years back when she was in Korea.
While at Kraze, I ventured away from the typical beef patties and went for Crab Meat burger ($18) instead and had my bread changed to wheat bun while my friend ordered the Naked Burger ($18) which came with double beef patties without any bun. Surprisingly, fries were considered as “add-ons” rather than part of a set.
The wait was about 10-15 minutes before our orders arrived. It definitely looked impressive, but I was disappointed with the outcome. My crab meat patty was mostly batter and crumbs with only traces of crab meat! Felt kind of cheated!
On the other hand, the beef patties tasted decent and went well for me. However, if you are looking for dripping wet, juicy and lip smacking patties, Kraze Burger is not for you.
Having said that, it was still worth ordering (at least for their beef patties) and would greatly appreciate if it came along with fries too!
