148) FIX Cafe: Poolside Cafe With Original and Handmade Food
Situated deep within HomeTeam NS at Ah Hood Road of Balestier is FIX cafe, an alfresco poolside cafe with sensibly priced food. Parking is convenient and the premise is open to the public too.
At FIX cafe, one is able to find coffee, naanwiches, cakes and milkshakes. Their belief stems on delivering “Original and Handmade Goods” to customers, ensuring to chase those Monday blues away!
Check out the Chicken Tikka Naanwich ($10) and its skillfully cooked egg! Love the smoky flavour embedded in the chicken Tikka and enjoyed bursting the yolk sack, what a cheap thrill.
Xuan Yi had the Smoked Turkey Ham and Cheese Naanwich ($10). Every meal apparently came with a cup of Nachos with cheese!
Totally didn’t expect that, what a bonus!
This was my highlight for the lunch, Crispy Soy Chicken Drumplets ($7) which were double fried till it’s super crispy!
In additional, the taste was phenomena and out of this world. Didn’t know that drumplets can taste so good.
Lastly, the popular and trademark of FIX cafe, Donuts with Salted Egg Dip ($7). Donut was soft and fluffy while the dip tasted decent.
Overall, it was more of a novelty than a delicacy.
Oh yes, Mexican Cola ($4.5). Some source claimed that it has a “more natural taste and flavour”… What’s that suppose to mean?
Happy face after an awesome meal!
Overall, this is a fantastic venue as it’s spacious, food was good, pocket friendly pricing and an interesting theme that matches the name of the cafe.
