East Coast Lagoon Food Village
East Coast Park is a definitely a location that has a place in the hearts of many young and old. This stretch of reclaimed coastline has definitely brought much joy to many and is a great place to let down your hair and be away from the hustle of a days work.
Among the many food outlets along East Coast, this has to be my favourite among all. Not only is it cheaper as compared to the rest, but I simply love the atmosphere and wide variety of food that’s available. At the same time, this place is filled with so much warmth as it embraces multi-racial and nationalities in this very location.
My typical orders will be Satay, Hokkien noodles, BBQ Stingray, Chicken Wings and Oyster Omelette. However, there are some changes for tonight.
My usual stall for satay will be from Haron. Thinking of having a change, I tried the stall next to it. Sad to say, I will give it at most a “decent” grade. Despite the good marinate, however, most of the meat was slightly under cook. It was also my first time ordering BBQ stingray from a Muslim stall. Frankly, I like the sambal and also the doneness of the stingray. The sambal seems to be a little different from the Chinese style as it doesn’t give too much a “punch”, thus leaving your throat at ease. Roti John was also on the menu for tonight as our source of carbohydrates. Nothing to shout about, but good enough to satisfy my hunger.
There are just too many food which I want to eat, but I only have one stomach to fill. Simply love the energetic vibe that such eating venues exudes! Parking over here was cheap too, paid about $1.5 for close to 1.5 hours. My other favourite venue will be Simpang Bedok.
