56) Costa Coffee

29/3/14

I always thought that Starbucks and Coffee Bean served good coffee when I was a teenager and will always order their fanciful and sugar loaded drinks, thinking that these are good coffee. But after my first visit to an independent cafe, my perception of these international coffee chain changed.

Therefore, I was a little apprehensive on my decision to visit Costa Coffee (Raffles City). However, you never try, you’ll never know, right? So I took on some courage (just exaggerating 😛 ) and ordered my latte.

Frankly speaking, it wasn’t impressive BUT neither was it terrible (unlike those served in Starbucks and Coffee Bean). I could taste the roast, but it just lacks in “body”. I interpret body by how strong the fragrance/flavour is and how long it lingers. On the bright side, the acidity is low.
