122) Common Grounds
8/8/14 [2 of 6]
Still at Day 1 in the “Coffee Paradise” and the next stop is Common Grounds, but not to mistaken with Singapore’s Common Man Roasters and One Man Coffee. This place does their own roast as well, have their beans packed and are ready for sale.
The first impression I got from Common Grounds is the ‘subway’ underground field. Perhaps, it is due to the miniature tiles used on the walls and flooring which gives off the 19’s vibes as well. Apart from serving coffee, Common Grounds has All Day Breakfasts and desserts too! Quite an all rounder cafe I would say.
Over here, we had one latte (IDR 35k) each and shared a carrot cake. The blend for it was Cloak and Dagger which has Sugar Palm, Orange Peel notes and Floral finish. Indeed filled with unique and bold flavours yet was refreshing at the same time. However, one thing that was outstanding was the smoothness of the coffee, which was out of this world!
So if you are around Citiwalk of Jakarta, you gotta pop by this gem! Lastly, WiFi is available!
