144) Collective Brewers
FINALLY!!! A cafe along Changi Road in between Eunos and Kembangan MRT Station. With a unique and out-of-the-box name, Collective Brewers is currently in their soft launch phase, as such they are only serving coffee and at a tip basis.
From the exterior, it can be easily overlooked as it flushes in with the neighbouring shops. However, the contemporary and minimalist interior of Collective Brewers does inject new life into this developed district. At the same time, the full height slider glass door allows natural light to fully brighten the whole interior.
Collective Brewers serves espresso based coffee, cold brew and others with single origins. Beans used for the espresso based coffee are from Common Man Coffee Roaster and the blend consist of Ethiopian, Colombian and Guatemala. During our time here, we had a Latte and hot Mocha.
Love the latte as it was served with a smooth and lightly coloured crema together with nicely defined latte art. It had a fragrant aroma, fruity notes and had a moderate ‘punch’. It was a smooth and good cuppa for an afternoon! Mocha was decent as I would prefer a little less of the chocolate syrup instead.
The coffee guru of Collective Brewers, Alec, offered us their cold brew, which was a single origins of Ethiopia (I hope I heard him right). Very nice whiff of rum, fruity and citrusy tones and was easy on the palate. Great recommendation Alec!
Looking forward to their official launch in about two weeks time! There will be pastries and probably some mains served by then!
