This is probably one of the best alfresco setting cafes around in Singapore. Located at the Goodman Arts Centre, Cafe Melba (Melb=Melbourne, A=Asia) aims to provide quality gourmet food while basking in tranquility.
My family decided to head over here for dinner. The ambiance in the day compared to evening has stark differences. Love the strategically placement of spotlights that produced a cozy atmosphere.
The nicely spaced out furniture also gave enough room for privacy. Totally felt as though I was transcended to another part of the world.
However, the dishes were really steep for a cafe/restaurant. I guess that’s in exchange for the nice environment, decent food and quality time spent with family and friends.
These were some of our orders: Truffle fries, Tandoori Chicken Pizza, Melba’s Burger and Pink Sea Bream which was the “Catch of the Day”.
Totally love the atmosphere and set, however, the price just doesn’t justify the quality and taste. Nonetheless, this is an awesome place that is away from the hectic and/or mundane city life.
