115) Assembly Coffee
Cafe hopping in a big group during our lunch break of IAAF Athletics Level 1 Coaching course. Thank God that the common table at Assembly was empty and was able to fit all 12 of us!
Cafe hopping in a large group has its pros and cons. The latter would be accommodation issue due to land scarcity in Singapore while the former would be the large variety of orders!
Before sharing about my orders, let meet the dynamic duo Nikita and Fatin! They are forever bringing fun and laughter to the group! Thankful for them!
This time round, I managed to try their waffles and some other cakes.
First up, Salted Caramel Waffles ($11.5) drizzled with thick maple and caramel syrup!
Definitely a delicacy for all the sweet tooth out there! Texture of waffles was firm and fluffy at the same time, perfection!
Diverting away from latte, I ordered their Magic Tulip ($4.5) instead! It consist of two Ristretto shots with milk, which is very similar to latte. I managed to try both coffee blends that were offered that day. One from Common Man Roaster: Berry, Fruity with note of choco and from Liberty Coffee: Choco, Nutty and a Buttery finish.
Some how or rather, both smelt similar to me despite having such different and distinct flavours. Although I prefer the blend from Liberty, however, I fell in love with the berry and fruity flavours after a couple more sips! What a luxury to be able to savour good coffee on a weekday afternoon!
At the other end of the table were some cakes, pies and AFFOGATO ($6)!!!
This is definitely one of my favourite cafe for good coffee and dessert! The nearest Mrt Station will be Botanic Gardens and there is sports complex across the road if you are intending to sweat off those extra calories!
