99) 7 Kickstart @ Fine Palate
Ever wondered what “7 Kickstart” means? How many days do you have in a week? – 7. What kick starts your day? – coffee, at least for most of us. Well, Swee Chin, owner of 7 Kickstart have that just in mind!
Over here at Fine Palate, you will be visiting their “coffee lab” where they have their cold drip coffee beings. All in all, there are six selections of cold brew for you to indulge. They have beans from Tanzania, Ethiopia, Brazil, India, Dominican Republic and the El Salvador. Tempted to try all of them without having to pay for 6 cups? Fret not, they have a testing portion that serves all six types in a minute chinese tea cups.
Today was a rare and special occasion where I strayed away from my usual latte and went for their recommendations, namely the “Jubilee” and “7th Heaven”. At the same time, it was also my first time trying out cold brew. There is definitely a lot of getting used to and learning how to appreciate coffee without milk! Good experience!
I personally preferred Jubilee as she, I mean it was refreshing and perky, brilliant for a hot and humid afternoon. It was a cup filled with many “expressions” as it consisted of sweet, sour, salty and minty ALL at the same time! How cool is that?!?! As for 7th Heaven, well, it didn’t give me that much of a shiok-ness though. What’s unique about these drinks are that both had coffee ice cubes to ensure that you will enjoy a consistent cup of coffee from the start and the last sip.
Just down the road is their main outlet where it is more spacious and serves more food options such as grills.
