113 Happiness Seafood At Old Airport Road Hawker
This has been my favourite place for crabs since discovering it in 2012. I’ve posted about it and this is an update on the specific stall (for chilli crab) to look out for! There are 3 stalls at this particular stretch/corner of the hawker centre and 113 Happiness Seafood is sandwiched between them.
Below’s my older post. Not much changes since, but just a slight increase of price to $28/kg for crabs between 600-750g and $35/kg for >750g. Despite the inflation, this place remains the most affordable place for crabs.
Came here with my parents for my mum’s birthday! Seized the opportunity to indulge in crab!
This is my mum’s favourite dish when it comes to Tze Char – Prawn Rolls! Neatly wrapped and fried, more importantly it was tasty. Not too sure how/what else to describe and expect, but I’ve tasted and seen others.
Crabs! My favourite seafood =) Since my first visit at this venue (there are 2 outlet which I frequent) for crabs, I have never (seldom) have crabs else where. With a price of $26-$30/kg, crab sizes at 850g – 1.3 kg (depending on import), why would you want to pay for $45-60/kg for the same thing?
Of course, I wouldn’t deny that people will debate that we are paying for quality of the crabs and also the standard of the chef… Being fair, I’m satisfied with my option =)
Just a word of caution, despite having the better tasting Chilli Crabs among the three, be wary about the aunty’s angst. Don’t catch her on the wrong day!
